8-Day Kyrgyzstan Jeep Tour Itinerary | Detailed tour program
Day 1
Almaty to Song-Kul Lake via Burana Tower
Start your Kyrgyzstan adventure with a scenic drive from Almaty towards the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. After crossing the border, continue to Burana Tower, one of the most important historical landmarks near Bishkek.
Continue through the Kyrgyz countryside towards Kochkor and then climb higher into the mountains to reach Song-Kul Lake. Located at an altitude of around 3,000 meters, Song-Kul is surrounded by wide alpine pastures and spectacular mountain scenery.
In the evening, enjoy sunset views over the lake and stay overnight in a traditional Kyrgyz yurt camp.
Day 2
Song-Kul to Naryn via 33 Parrots Pass
Wake up early to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Song-Kul Lake and capture the first light over the mountains. After breakfast, continue through the scenic 33 Parrots Pass and stop at Torpok Waterfall for photographs.
The route continues to Naryn, one of the main mountain towns in central Kyrgyzstan. From Naryn, drive towards the remote Kok-Kya Valley, the gateway to Kel-Suu Lake.

Day 3
Kel-Suu Lake and Mountain Landscapes
Today is dedicated to one of the most spectacular mountain lakes in Kyrgyzstan — Kel-Suu. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs, turquoise water and remote high-altitude landscapes, Kel-Suu is one of the highlights of the journey.
Depending on weather and road conditions, reach the lake by 4x4 vehicle and/or horseback riding. Enjoy time for photography and exploring the area before returning towards Naryn.

Day 4
Naryn to Issyk-Kul Lake
Leave Naryn and continue towards Issyk-Kul, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in Central Asia. Along the way, stop at scenic mountain locations and enjoy the changing landscapes of Kyrgyzstan.
Later in the day, visit Aksai Canyon and experience a traditional eagle hunting demonstration. This is a unique opportunity to see one of the oldest nomadic traditions of Central Asia.
In the evening, relax by Issyk-Kul Lake and spend the night in a traditional yurt camp.
Day 5
Issyk-Kul and Fairy Tale Canyon
Start the day with views of Issyk-Kul Lake before travelling towards the famous Fairy Tale Canyon. The canyon is known for its unusual red and orange rock formations shaped by wind and erosion.
Explore the canyon on foot, take photographs and continue towards the spectacular Altyn Arashan Valley near Karakol.
Relax in the natural hot springs and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings.
Day 6
Altyn Arashan and Zhety-Oguz Gorge
Enjoy the mountain scenery of Altyn Arashan in the morning before continuing to Karakol and the famous Zhety-Oguz Gorge.
Zhety-Oguz, meaning “Seven Bulls”, is famous for its dramatic red sandstone cliffs surrounded by green mountain valleys. The area offers excellent opportunities for photography and short walks.
Continue to Karakol for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 7
Sary-Jaz Valley and Kara-Tash Hot Springs
Travel deeper into the mountains towards the spectacular Sary-Jaz Valley. The route passes through remote mountain landscapes with panoramic views and dramatic peaks.
Depending on weather and road conditions, visit the natural Kara-Tash hot springs and enjoy a relaxing break surrounded by mountains.
Continue to scenic viewpoints in the Sary-Jaz Valley before returning to Karakol.
Day 8
Karakol to Almaty via Konorchek Canyon
On the final day, begin the journey back towards the Kyrgyzstan–Kazakhstan border. Along the route, stop at Konorchek Canyon, famous for its red sandstone formations and unusual desert-like landscapes.
Enjoy a final walk and photography session before continuing to Bishkek and then back to Almaty.
